English Language Difficulties of Pre-Clinical Medical Students and the Contributing Role of Foundation-Year English Language Course at a Medical College in Saudi Arabia

The study investigates the pre-clinical medical students' perceptions about their English language difficulties and lack at King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia. students an course pre-university level (Foundation Year) to train prepare for future extensive college. program comprises reading, writing, listening, speaking skills targets enhancing skills. aims: (a) examine of related speaking, writing (b) To determine pre-medical lacks general proficiency. A mixed-method approach, including quantitative qualitative research methods was used. Data from questionnaires 67 has been used with representative interviews faculty members teaching subjects findings revealed that experience significant use skills, skill-wise average is worth considering such as (27.95%), reading (25.36%), (24.86%), listening (12.73%). indicated were most difficult among all students.
